Album ke-4 Jimmy selepas clarity & rilis pada tahun 2001 (pressing : Dreamworks, USA) single black vinyl with gatefold cover & no inner sleeve. Due to its title Bleed American, copies pressed from 2002 to 2008 was retitled "Jimmy Eat world" after the September 11 attacks in 2001. The album artwork cover di ambil dari fofografi William Eggleston & designed by Jeff Kleinsmith.
